Job summary
KPMG US Engagement Quality Control Review (EQCR) team, led by the Department of Professional Practice (DPP), supports SEC Reviewing Partners in performing Quality Control Reviews to drive quality and consistency in the execution of audits. KPMG US EQCR Team is responsible for enhancing audit quality through various monitoring activities, including conducting objective evaluations of work performed by the engagement team for specific audit areas before the report release date.

Roles & responsibilities
KPMG US Engagement Quality Control Review (EQCR) team, led by the Department of Professional Practice (DPP), supports SEC Reviewing Partners in performing Quality Control Reviews to drive quality and consistency in the execution of audits. KPMG US EQCR Team is responsible for enhancing audit quality through various monitoring activities, including conducting objective evaluations of work performed by the engagement team for specific audit areas before the report release date.
Responsibilities
Drive key project management activities for the EQCR Center, including monitoring engagement progress, managing deadlines, and preparing status reports for leadership. This will involve directly supporting EQCR Managers in overseeing the portfolio of reviews.
Support certain procedures associated with facilitating the GDC manager’s reviews of engagement team’s work papers and documentation for specific audit areas in accordance with PCAOB auditing standards and related rules and regulations (including PCAOB and SEC independence standards).
Conducting inquiries and confirmations with the engagement team to gather necessary information. Assess engagement team readiness for the review of work, communicate to EQCR Team, allocate work to appropriate team members.
Engaging in interactions with the EQCR Team members, and other stakeholders.
Assist in EQCR Center’s project management activities and involvement in standardization, tool development etc.
Stay informed about various PCAOB standards and US firm methodology and other developments relevant to the audit.
Enthusiasm for contributing to audit quality improvement initiatives. Be eager to learn and grow as the EQCR Center evolves.

Mandatory technical & functional skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 programs, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Proficiency in Alteryx and PowerBI is a significant advantage
Strong project management skills, particularly in managing expectations from multiple teams and proactively communicating issues, solutions and progress.
Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines.
Qualifications
This role is for you if you have the below
Educational qualifications
CA or CPA (shall hold active membership/license)
Work experience
Experience in conducting integrated audits in accordance with PCAOB auditing standards or audits under AICPA standards, preferably with 4+ years of post-qualification experience with a reputed CA/CPA firm in a client facing role or 4+ years of post qualification IFRS audit experience with KPMG India / other Big 6 on component audits or audit of a SEC Registrant.
Experience in project management, working on multiple standardized deliverables and facilitating creation of status reports for leadership presentation.
