Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Analyst to join the LatAm Compliance Analytics branch of the Compliance & Internal Audit Analytics team at Wise.You will join a team of analysts who own the reporting layer for Compliance activities to give assurance to the Board and our regulators that we are effectively managing the risks we face. These activities include regulatory reporting- both routine and ad hoc- as well as compliance monitoring and testing.You’ll partner with 2nd line Compliance in Latin America to ensure they can execute against the Compliance regulatory reporting schedule, as well as leveraging data to proactively monitor risks. This is an IC2 role. For more information on our Analytics Career Map and levelling structure, click here. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOINGPartnering with stakeholders across the Compliance function covering all products and domains of the business (including Financial Crime, Ops, Risk, Finance and IT) primarily in the LatAm regionContribute towards building the engagement model between analytics and Compliance for delivering regulatory reporting and moving towards building automated pipelines for recurring reportsIdentifying & implementing opportunities to do the most impactful analytics within testing projects and influencing and upskilling your partners in Compliance to do the sameChampioning innovation and data-driven insights across all Compliance activities where analytics can add valueLeading automation and tooling projects to increase efficiency across Compliance
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in data analyticsStakeholder management skills; you know how to leverage multiple different teams to deliver high-impact changeExtensive experience using SQL; you can build and maintain complex data sources and can leverage visualisation tools (Looker, Superset, etc) to surface insightsYou have built reporting outputs, creating advanced SQL scripts based on requirements communicated by stakeholdersExperience using data engineering tools (GitHub, dbt, Airflow etc.) to transform messy data into clean and efficient pipelines and you know how to produce comprehensive data documentationYou understand the importance of data integrity, quality & governance. You know how to produce comprehensive data documentationMeticulous & disciplined approach towards accuracy of data outputsYou are able to prioritise your own and your team’s work and independently manage competing prioritiesYou can contribute your own ideas to influence the team’s strategic roadmap NICE TO HAVE Experience in Compliance analytics testing or Internal Audit analyticsExperience using dbt Knowledge of PythonFinancial services experienceExperience in regulatory reporting and monitoring controls or controls assuranceExperience using AI toolsYou have experience with designing and owning data assetsInterest in data governance / data quality
