3.53 crore tax evasion detected by Gujrat GST department

Gujrat SGST department has identified tax evasion fraud of INR 3.53 crore during search performed in in Ahmedabad, Waghai in Dang district, and Nadiad, focused on identified sales without invoices in Business to Customer (B2C) sector.

It was identified that the business, registered under composition scheme, were illegally levying and collecting tax separately. The tax liability of the same  was exceeding INR 53 lakh. Also, it was identified that two of the battery dealers were importing batteries and selling them without issuing invoices. The tax liability of the same same was exceeding INR 92 lakh. Tobacco  dealers were also identified to evade tax amounting to INR 2.08 crore.
