ICAI Updates September 12 Convocation Venues Across 23 Cities; New Members and May 2026 CA Final Rank Holders Covered

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has updated the practical venue and contact details for its next convocation, scheduled for September 12, 2026 across 23 centres in India. The ICAI page, originally issued by the Members & Students Services Directorate on August 18, now carries detailed centre-wise arrangements and shows a last update date of August 31, making it particularly relevant for eligible newly enrolled members planning travel and attendance.
The convocation covers members enrolled with ICAI from May 1, 2026 to August 15, 2026. ICAI says these members will be awarded their Certificate of Membership and, where applicable, Certificate of Practice at the convocation. Rank holders of the CA Final examination held in May 2026 are also scheduled to be felicitated with rank certificates.
Convocation will be held across five ICAI regions
ICAI has listed centres across the Western, Southern, Eastern, Central and Northern regions. The September 12 programme spans the following cities:
- Western Region: Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Nagpur and Pune.
- Southern Region: Bengaluru, Chennai, Coimbatore, Ernakulam, Hyderabad and Vijayawada.
- Eastern Region: Bhubaneswar, Guwahati and Kolkata.
- Central Region: Bhopal, Ghaziabad, Indore, Lucknow, Jaipur, Ranchi and Raipur.
- Northern Region: Chandigarh, Ludhiana and New Delhi.
The updated ICAI notice also provides centre-specific venue addresses and local contact officials. For example, Mumbai participants are directed to Hotel Fairmont near Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport Terminal 2; Ahmedabad participants to The Capitol at The Forum Hotel & Convention; Pune participants to Buntara Bhavana in Baner; Chennai participants to Kalaivanar Arangam; Hyderabad participants to Anvaya Conventions in the Financial District; and Bengaluru participants to PES University’s Banashankari campus.
ICAI has similarly published venue and contact information for the remaining centres, including Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, Guwahati, Ghaziabad, Jaipur, Indore, Lucknow, Ranchi, Raipur, Bhopal, Delhi, Ludhiana and Chandigarh. Eligible members should rely on the official ICAI page and the individual communication sent by the Institute for the final venue, reporting time and participation instructions applicable to their centre.
Who should expect an ICAI communication
ICAI has stated that eligible members will be individually informed by the Members & Students Services Directorate with venue and timing details and asked to confirm their participation. The Institute has also advised participants to make necessary travel arrangements and contact the relevant regional office or branch if assistance is required.
The eligibility period is important. The September convocation is not a general member event: it is specifically tied to members enrolled between May 1 and August 15, 2026, along with May 2026 CA Final rank holders. Members outside that enrolment window should not assume that the September 12 programme applies to them merely because a nearby centre is listed.
