ICAI Ind AS Certificate Course Online Batch 85 Starts August 29; Registration Closes August 26

The Accounting Standards Board of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has opened Online Batch 85 of the Certificate Course on Indian Accounting Standards, with classes scheduled to begin on 29 August 2026. The last registration date stated by ICAI is 26 August 2026, subject to availability on a first-come, first-served basis.

Batch schedule

The online batch is planned to run from 29 August to a tentative end date of 29 November 2026. ICAI has scheduled 24 live weekend sessions: Saturdays from 5 PM to 9 PM and Sundays from 10 AM to 2 PM. Delivery will be through the ICAI Digital Learning Hub.

Attendance and examination conditions

ICAI states that participants must attend at least 80% of the live sessions, equivalent to 19 out of 24 sessions, to become eligible for the final examination. The qualifying mark for the examination is 60%. Final examination dates will be notified separately.

Face registration is not compulsory for attending classes, but ICAI says it must be completed through a PC or laptop with a camera before the examination. Approval may take up to a week, while previously approved face registrations remain valid.

Fee and CPE credit

The fee for the batch is Rs. 10,030 including GST. The programme carries 25 Structured CPE hours for participation and an additional 5 Structured CPE hours on passing the examination. ICAI says hard-copy books will not be supplied; soft copies of reading material and viewing access to recordings will be provided.

Refund and batch-change rules

The official course note provides for a 10% deduction where cancellation is made at least a week before the batch starts. No refund is available after commencement. Participants wishing to change batches must cancel and re-register, subject to seats being available. ICAI states that a full refund will be made if the batch itself is called off or postponed.
