NBFC Course SME EOI Closes Today

ICAI has invited experienced professionals and subject matter experts to express interest in delivering offline technical sessions for its Certificate Course on Non-Banking Financial Companies, with August 31, 2026 as the last date for submission. The opportunity is aimed at practitioners and specialists with substantial NBFC-sector experience who want to contribute to professional education for ICAI members.

Who ICAI is looking for

The official call states that applicants should possess substantial experience and expertise in the NBFC sector and be interested in contributing to professional education. ICAI says selected experts would help provide practical, insightful and industry-relevant learning to members. The initiative is being handled by the Financial Markets and Investors’ Awareness Committee.

Topics covered by the certificate course

The EOI notice lists a broad set of modules, which also indicates the kind of expertise ICAI is seeking. These include introduction to NBFCs, formation of NBFCs, the financial-reporting framework, RBI compliances, change in management procedures and compliances, winding-up, cancellation of the NBFC certificate of registration, penalties and appeals, emerging trends and innovations, operational practices and customer-centric services, practical applications and case studies, and an NBFC compliance checklist.

How to submit

The notice provides an online EOI form and states that CVs may also be emailed to nbfcs@icai.in. The last date for submission is August 31, 2026. ICAI also provides the Financial Markets and Investors’ Awareness Committee contact channel at cfmip@icai.in and telephone 0120-3045905 for programme-related details.

Applicants should note an important caveat in the official notice: submission of an expression of interest does not guarantee selection as a subject matter expert. Selection remains at ICAI’s sole discretion, and the Institute’s decision is stated to be final.

Why this matters for practitioners

For CAs working in NBFC audit, regulatory reporting, RBI compliance, accounting, governance, restructuring or advisory, the EOI creates a direct route to participate in ICAI’s technical training ecosystem. Because the deadline falls today, interested professionals should verify their CV, highlight hands-on NBFC experience relevant to the listed modules and use the official submission channel without waiting for a later extension.

The opportunity is narrow but time-sensitive: experienced NBFC professionals who want to teach ICAI members have until August 31 to submit their EOI, while final selection remains entirely with ICAI.
