ICAI CRET Feedback Window Closes Today: CA Education Review Covers Academics, Practical Training, Exams and IT Skills

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has reached the final day of its extended stakeholder-consultation window for the review of the Chartered Accountancy Scheme of Education and Training. ICAI’s Board of Studies (Academic) announced on August 18 that feedback may be submitted up to August 31, 2026, extending the earlier timeline attached to the comprehensive review announced on July 31.
What ICAI is reviewing
The exercise is being conducted through the Committee for Review of Education and Training, or CRET. The live ICAI questionnaire shows that the review is not confined to syllabus content. It is structured across the full CA education and training journey, covering academics, practical training, examinations, information-technology and soft-skills training, and an open-ended section for broader reflections.
The questionnaire also captures the respondent’s background and stakeholder category before moving into the substantive sections. ICAI’s live CRET portal currently displays 31 August 2026 as the extended last date. The portal says each respondent may submit only once, questions marked as mandatory must be completed, and respondents should review their answers before final submission.
