Amazon India | Finance Manager, FaaS

Responsibilities

• We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Manager to join our Finance as a Service (FaaS) team in Bangalore.
• This role is critical to ensure that our accounting processes run smoothly in a highly controlled and compliant environment, delivering exceptional accuracy, efficiency, and insights aligned with Amazon’s leadership principles of Customer Obsession, Deliver Results, and Insist on the Highest Standards.
• You will work closely with customer controllership team, Finance Operations, and account management teams to support month-end close, drive operational excellence, and uphold rigorous financial control standards with technology first mind set.
• This position plays a pivotal role in closing customer books, preparing reconciliations, managing journal entries, driving reporting, and engaging with leadership on performance reviews.
• The candidate would be responsible for financial close and performing related reporting, accruals etc.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience.
• 6+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience.
• 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience.
• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (i.
• 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
• 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
• 5+ years of directly managing and leading a team of 5+ members experience
• 6+ years of mentoring junior finance and/or business team members experience
• 3+ years of working with senior staff (e.g. c-suite) experience
