About the company
Cadence Design Systems, Inc.
Cadence Design Systems was formed in 1988, when ECAD, the maker of the Dracula chip-layout verification tool, merged with SDA Systems, a chip-design software company co-founded in 1983 by Jim Solomon, Richard Newton and Alberto Sangiovanni-Vincentelli. Based in San Jose, California, and listed on Nasdaq as CDNS, it sells software, hardware and intellectual property used to design and verify semiconductors, printed circuit boards and electronic systems. Its products include the Virtuoso platform for custom chip design, Allegro and OrCAD for circuit boards, Palladium emulation hardware and Tensilica processor IP. Cadence's Indian operations grew out of a Noida modelling team set up by Gateway Design Automation, the developer of the Verilog language, which Cadence later acquired. Its main Indian company is Cadence Design Systems (India) Private Limited, alongside Cadence Design Systems (Sales) India Private Limited. Noida and Bengaluru are its main Indian sites, and the Indian teams work on research and development for Cadence's product groups as well as customer support, IT and other support functions.
Its finance opening in India is a senior accountant role in Noida, in revenue accounting and revenue recognition within its finance shared services. It asks for four to six years of experience and a postgraduate qualification, preferably an MBA in finance.
