About the company
Citco
Founded in 1948 by A.A.G. Smeets, Citco first worked for private clients and multinational companies in the years after the Second World War, and launched its fund administration business in 1968. The group, whose parent company is The Citco Group Limited, has been majority independently owned since its start. It now serves alternative asset managers, asset owners, investors, banks and corporates with fund administration, middle office, banking, tax and regulatory, corporate secretarial and entity management services. In India, Citco has offices in Mumbai (Powai), Pune (Kharadi) and Hyderabad, where its Center of Excellence was launched in 2021 and moved into a permanent office in Knowledge City in 2023.
Citco's finance roles in India, in Hyderabad, Mumbai and Pune, centre on fund services: fund accountants for hedge funds, private equity and real assets (including property accounting), financial reporting accountants and team leads, operations and risk analysts, and supervisors up to vice president. It also hires for its own corporate finance, such as general ledger, accounts payable, payroll and finance systems support, as well as corporate secretarial work and CMA Inter internships. Postings usually ask for a degree in accounting, finance or economics, and several name CA, CPA, ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CMA or CFA, or study towards one.
