Roles & responsibilities

• The main objective of the individual is to work closely with the Funds group to support and deliver.
• The successful candidate will be expected to work on various complex tools and coordinate with our global counterparts/Banks/Brokers to record activities and ensure accuracy
• Recording investors commitments and knowledge on accounting of initial/subsequent/late closings.
• Preparing call and distribution notices, wire details and related schedules.
• Responsible for booking trading and non-trading transactions and finalizing books of accounts.
• Preparation of monthly/quarterly NAV workbooks and economic allocations, knowledge on PNL rebalancing and European & American waterfall methods.
• Computation of management fees in various periods, preferred returns and carried interest computations.
• Handling Investor reporting, Fund level reporting and ILPA reporting (optional).
• Interacting with clients on various accounting/operational issues.
• Processing capital activities i.e. subscription, redemption, transfers, switches.
• Processing and understanding the role of Master-feeder capital transactions

Requirements

• Knowledge of private equity/ debt fund structures designs & hierarchies, Special purpose vehicles, standalone funds, master-feeder funds and the role of each entity in the fund structure.
• Knowledge on the role of Investors’ classes, GP class, carry class, Affiliated / Non-affiliated classes.
• Knowledge of various ratios viz. Internal rate of return, Time weighted return, Investment multiple.
• Knowledge of Operations and accounting of Bank debts, TRS, MBS, CLO instruments.
• Experience in working across country lines and operating in a global, multinational organization, ideally in a matrix structure.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Willing to work in fast paced dynamic industry

Corporation Service Company (CSC)

Corporation Service Company traces its roots to 1899, when the attorneys Josiah P. Marvel and Christopher L. Ward each set up a business in Delaware to help companies incorporate. The two firms merged in 1920 to form CSC. The privately held company is based in Wilmington, Delaware, and provides corporate, legal and tax services, including business formation, registered agent work, entity and licence management and domain name management. It expanded to Canada and Europe in the early 2010s and to Singapore and Hong Kong from 2015, and later acquisitions included Intertrust Group, which brought fund and corporate administration into the business. Its Asia Pacific offices include one in India.

Finance hiring is concentrated in Mumbai and Bengaluru, with some roles in Gurugram. Most openings sit in fund accounting and administration, covering private equity, real estate and private credit funds, from fund accountant to senior fund accountant. There are also client accountant roles (direct tax, indirect tax and GST, payroll, IFRS consolidation) and a finance manager role for five to fifteen years of experience. Several postings are aimed at newly qualified CA or CMA candidates. Others accept CPA, ACCA, CFA or an MBA, and some seniors need four to ten years of experience.
