Responsibilities

  • You’ll work every day with Traders, Portfolio Managers, Portfolio Administrators, trade support teams, custodians and brokers.
  • A big part of the job is spotting settlement risk early and making sure the right people know about it.
  • Work Timings: US hours (EST or PST).
  • Calculate and agree variation margin (VM) and independent amount (IA) under bilateral CSAs, issue and answer margin calls, and resolve collateral disputes.
  • Manage triparty collateral, including eligibility, substitutions and movements with triparty agents and custodians.
  • Resolve queries and exceptions with the teams involved, and escalate quickly when something can’t be fixed in time.
  • Drive timely settlement of listed securities and exchange‑traded derivatives, investigating and rectifying fails.
  • Calculate, issue and reconcile variation margin (VM) and independent amount (IA) under CSAs, managing collateral disputes.
  • Perform daily trade, position, cash, depot and nostro reconciliations across Geneva, brokers and custodians.
  • Monitor settlement risk and corporate actions, flagging exposures and coordinating remediation with stakeholders.
  • Prepare and review fund accounting reports, NAV calculations and regulatory filings.
  • Identify process gaps, propose and implement control enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Mentor junior team members and act as a liaison between front‑office, middle‑office and external partners.
  • Keep track of expiries, rolls, exercise and assignment, and corporate actions that affect settlement.
  • Process lifecycle events such as resets, fixings, coupon and premium payments, novations, amendments and terminations.
  • Process cash and collateral wires within payment controls, using the right SWIFT messages (MT103/MT202, MT5xx).
  • Run trade, position, cash, depot and nostro reconciliations between Geneva, brokers and custodians, and clear breaks on time.
  • Keep an eye on settlement risk across markets and flag exposures before they turn into fails.
  • Process cash and collateral wires using appropriate SWIFT messages (MT103, MT202, MT5xx) and maintain payment controls.

Requirements

  • Hands-on settlements knowledge: fails management, pre-matching, depot and nostro reconciliation, and SWIFT messages.
  • A good understanding of bilateral and triparty collateral, including VM and IA calculations.
  • Familiarity with ISDA, CSA and account control agreements.
  • Strong analytical skills. You look for the root cause, not just the quick fix.
  • Good interpersonal skills, team spirit and client focus, and you build strong working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Experience with CTM, Alert, MarkitWire, Traiana, Geneva and broker or custodian web portals.
  • Strong understanding of the trade lifecycle for listed securities and OTC derivatives.
  • Hands‑on experience with SWIFT messaging, cash and collateral wire processing.
  • Knowledge of ISDA, CSA and account control agreements, including VM and IA calculations.
  • Proficiency in reconciliation tools (Geneva, CTM, Alert) and broker/custodian portals.
  • Advanced Excel skills; exposure to MarkitWire, Traiana or similar platforms is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical abilities with a focus on root‑cause problem solving.
  • Ability to work US business hours (EST/PST) in a hybrid model (3 days on‑site).

About the company

Corporation Service Company (CSC)

Corporation Service Company traces its roots to 1899, when the attorneys Josiah P. Marvel and Christopher L. Ward each set up a business in Delaware to help companies incorporate. The two firms merged in 1920 to form CSC. The privately held company is based in Wilmington, Delaware, and provides corporate, legal and tax services, including business formation, registered agent work, entity and licence management and domain name management. It expanded to Canada and Europe in the early 2010s and to Singapore and Hong Kong from 2015, and later acquisitions included Intertrust Group, which brought fund and corporate administration into the business. Its Asia Pacific offices include one in India.

Finance hiring is concentrated in Mumbai and Bengaluru, with some roles in Gurugram. Most openings sit in fund accounting and administration, covering private equity, real estate and private credit funds, from fund accountant to senior fund accountant. There are also client accountant roles (direct tax, indirect tax and GST, payroll, IFRS consolidation) and a finance manager role for five to fifteen years of experience. Several postings are aimed at newly qualified CA or CMA candidates. Others accept CPA, ACCA, CFA or an MBA, and some seniors need four to ten years of experience.

  • Industry: Corporate, legal, tax and fund services: entity formation and management, registered agent services, domain management, and fund and corporate administration
  • Headquarters: Wilmington, Delaware, United States (privately held)
  • In India: Offices in India within CSC's Asia Pacific network; the finance postings are in Mumbai, Bengaluru and Gurugram
