EXL | Assistant Manager

Responsibilities

• Preparation of critical journal entries, reconciliations and month/quarter end activities.
• Work closely with onshore counterparts to ensure accurate journal entries are recorded for reinsurance activities.
• Perform reinsurance accounting in accordance with different kind of insurance treaties.
• Prepare schedules relevant for IFRS ,SII or any other applicable statutory requirements.
• This position requires employee to understand, perform and critically analyze activities related to insurance accounting in accordance with latest applicable accounting standard.
• Demonstrate attention to detail in a fast-paced work environment – especially during processing.
• Commitment and drive for results.

Requirements

• Understanding of financial reporting per NAIC/IFRS or any other statutory requirement would be preferred.
• Excellent oral/written communication skills, presentation skills- MANDATORY.
• Excellent organization and time management skills.
• Excellent analytical skills and competent at logical reasoning.
• Must be a self-starter, detail oriented with the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
• Able to prioritize multiple activities and projects.
• Self-disciplined and result oriented.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to understand and question established process guidelines in order to bring about possible process improvements.
