Responsibilities
- The role involves overseeing day‑to‑day finance activities, ensuring accurate journal entries, performing reconciliations, preparing reports, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to support our insurance portfolio.
- Prepare and post accurate journal entries in accordance with company policies.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and year‑end account reconciliations.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external auditors during audits.
- Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and process improvements.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements.
- Support the implementation of finance systems and automation tools.
- Mentor junior team members and ensure knowledge transfer.
- Communicate financial insights effectively to senior management.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of journal entry preparation, account reconciliation, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Oracle) and MS Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
