Responsibilities
- This role requires close collaboration with actuarial, underwriting, and claims teams to ensure accurate and timely financial information while driving continuous improvement and compliance within the organization.
- Oversee Record-to-Report (RTR) processes for the insurance business.
- Manage month‑end closing activities ensuring timely completion.
- Perform and review account reconciliations.
- Consolidate and present month‑end financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal policies.
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives.
- Coordinate with cross‑functional teams (actuarial, underwriting, claims).
- Monitor key performance indicators and provide insights to senior management.
- Supervise preparation and posting of journal entries.
- Mentor and develop junior staff.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years experience in RTR within an insurance organization.
- Strong knowledge of month‑end close, journal entries, and reconciliations.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel.
- Understanding of insurance accounting standards (IFRS 17, local GAAP).
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to lead a team and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Effective communication and presentation abilities.
- Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple priorities.
