Responsibilities
- This role combines strategic oversight of cash application, billing, collection and dispute management with strong stakeholder communication and people‑leadership capabilities to ensure financial health and operational excellence.
- Oversee the full Accounts Receivable cycle, including cash application, invoicing, collections and dispute resolution.
- Develop and enforce AR policies, procedures and controls aligned with corporate standards.
- Monitor daily cash flow, aging reports and key performance indicators, driving timely collections.
- Lead a team of AR analysts and coordinators, providing coaching, performance feedback and career development.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders across Finance, Sales, and Insurance Operations to resolve billing issues and improve processes.
- Manage escalated customer disputes, ensuring root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Implement automation tools and process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Prepare and present AR performance metrics and insights to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal audit standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and best practices across the AR function.
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in Accounts Receivable, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Demonstrated expertise in cash application, billing, collections and dispute management within the insurance sector.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel/Power BI.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills to interact effectively with senior stakeholders.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop high‑performing teams.
- Experience in process automation, RPA or digital transformation initiatives.
- Solid understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements related to insurance finance.
- Result‑oriented mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding collection targets.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, matrixed environment and manage multiple priorities.
