About the company
Halliburton
In 1919 Erle P. Halliburton started an oil-well cementing business in Duncan, Oklahoma, and the company that grew from it now supplies products and services to the energy industry worldwide. Its work follows the life of a well, from studying the rock below ground and drilling to completion, production and, at the end, abandonment, and it is organised in two divisions: Completion and Production, and Drilling and Evaluation. Halliburton is headquartered in Houston, Texas, and its shares trade on the New York Stock Exchange as HAL. In India it opened a technology centre in Pune in 2007, its first globally focused one outside North America and Europe, and it also has offices in Bengaluru.
Bengaluru is the base for Halliburton's finance roles in India, which cover accounts payable and general accounting, order-to-cash (OTC) processing, payroll from representative to lead specialist, FP&A, and controllership up to principal accountant. Several postings ask for a B.Com, MBA or accounting degree, and some name CMA (ICWA), CA Inter or CPA, or prefer CA technicians. For some process roles a school-leaving qualification with relevant experience is enough, though a bachelor's degree is preferred.
