ICON plc India | Senior Tax Accountant

Key responsibilities include

• As a Senior Tax Accountant at ICON, you will manage complex tax compliance, reporting, and plan activities across multiple jurisdictions.
• Employment with ICON is contingent upon having the legal right to work in the country where the role is based.
• You will help ensure ICON meets its tax obligations while optimising tax efficiency and manage risk.
• Preparing and reviewing corporate tax returns, provisions, and related filings for assigned entities in accordance with local laws and regulations.
• Supporting quarterly and annual tax reporting, including tax account reconciliations and effective tax rate analyses.
• Assisting with tax planning initiatives, transfer pricing support, and evaluation of the tax impact of business transactions.
• Liaising with external advisors and tax authorities, supporting audits and responding to tax queries.
• Monitoring changes in tax legislation and assessing potential impacts on ICON's tax position.
• Contributing to the enhancement of tax processes, controls, and documentation to improve efficiency and compliance.
• You will have a strong foundation in tax and treasury, with the experience to work independently and guide others.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; professional qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CTA) preferred.
• Significant experience in corporate tax, ideally within a multinational organisation or professional services firm.
• Strong technical knowledge of corporate taxation and tax accounting standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with finance and business stakeholders.
• Organised and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
