Responsibilities
- Whether you’ve got deep experience in commercial real estate, skilled trades or technology, or you’re looking to apply your relevant experience to a new industry, join our team as we help shape a brighter way forward.
- P2 is the core ownership level of the R2R role framework, sitting between the P1 &P3 roles, with independent ownership of close activities and balance sheet accounts.
- The role goes beyond execution: it investigates root causes, resolves issues without close supervision, performs meaningful variance and trend analysis, and partners regularly with entity controllers and business partners.
- Actively looks for waste and rework, tests ideas and shares improvements with the team.
- If this job description resonates with you, we encourage you to apply, even if you don’t meet all the requirements.
- Act as a strategic bridge between Business and executive leadership.
- Prepares standard and moderately complex journals (accruals, reclassifications, provisions, FX revaluation) with full support; reviews journals prepared by P1s; ensures compliance with policy and approval thresholds.
- Owns reconciliations for assigned accounts, including medium and high-risk accounts; ensures timely preparation, certification and evidence in Account Reconciliation Cloud Services (ARCS).
- Manages aging and clearance of open items across owned accounts; drives action with owners in the business and finance; escalates items beyond threshold with root cause and a clearance plan; reports the aging trend.
- Prepares and reviews management and statutory reporting inputs, schedules and disclosures; ensures reporting accuracy and consistency with the ledger; supports consolidation and group reporting submissions.
- Performs month-on-month, actual-versus-budget and forecast variance analysis; identifies drivers and root causes; writes concise commentary for controllers and business partners; recommends corrective actions.
- Prepares audit documentation for owned accounts; responds to internal and external auditors directly on routine queries; supports remediation of findings.
- Identifies recurring errors, bottlenecks and manual effort in owned processes; implements local improvements; updates procedures and desk instructions; participates in Lean or Six Sigma activities.
- Owns outcomes for assigned accounts and deadlines; takes responsibility for quality and corrects issues without prompting.
- Operates and evidence key controls for owned processes; performs self-assessments; identifies control gaps and proposes remediation; ensures adherence to policy, SOX or equivalent requirements and segregation of duties.
- Acts as the day-to-day contact for entity controllers and business partners on owned areas; sets expectations on timelines and data needs; manages escalations on a first-line basis.
- Plans and manages own close deliverables, dependencies and cut-off; anticipates delays and recovers the schedule.
- Prepares management and statutory reporting schedules; understands the link between the ledger, consolidation and published reporting.
- Reviews journals for accuracy, support, period, account coding and policy compliance; identifies unusual patterns.
- Builds structured analyses using XLOOKUP or INDEX-MATCH, pivot tables, Power Query and conditional logic; creates reusable, auditable workbooks.
- Makes sound decisions within policy and delegated authority; weighs risk and escalates matters beyond own remit.
- Provides concise written updates to controllers and team leadership; highlights the issue, the impact and the ask.
- Presents analysis and status in team and stakeholder meetings in a structured manner.
- Works effectively with controllers and partners in multiple regions (SEA, ANZ, WA, MENA); adapts style to cultural and time zone differences.
Requirements
- Strong command of the accounting cycle including accruals, provisions, fixed assets, intercompany, FX and cut-off; applies sound judgement on standard transactions.
- Working knowledge of the standards that affect owned accounts (revenue, leases, provisions, financial instruments, FX); applies policy correctly and recognises when to seek technical guidance.
- Proficient in reconciliations, transaction matching, journal and task management modules; configures simple rules and formats with guidance.
- Proficient in transactions, reporting and master data for owned processes; extracts and reconciles data independently.
- Builds simple reports and uses existing dashboards to monitor KPIs and aging; foundational understanding of data models.
- Works effectively across R2R, AP, AR, Treasury, Tax and the business; shares knowledge proactively.
- Part-qualified or newly qualified CA, CPA, ACCA or CMA preferred; Account Reconciliation Cloud Services (ARCS) certification, Power BI (PL-300) or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt are an advantage.
- 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in R2R, GL or financial reporting within a shared services or multinational environment.
- Hands-on experience with SAP or Oracle, Account Reconciliation Cloud Services (ARCS) and advanced Excel; Power BI exposure preferred.
- Ability to challenge constructively

Headquartered in Chicago and listed on the New York Stock Exchange, it works for property owners, occupiers and investors, handling leasing, capital markets deals, property and facility management, and project and development services, and it manages real estate investments through LaSalle Investment Management, alongside a technology business. In India it operates as Jones Lang LaSalle Property Consultants (India) Private Limited, registered in New Delhi, and has a presence in Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, Pune, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Kochi and Coimbatore. Its Indian teams cover leasing, capital markets, research and advisory, project development, and facility, property and asset management.
Most of JLL's finance openings in India are in Gurugram, with others in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Ludhiana. The work covers contract-to-billing and receivables, accounts payable, general ledger and record-to-report, revenue recognition, reporting and FP&A, treasury, US payroll, lease administration and financial modelling for consulting projects, plus finance roles in Ludhiana and Mumbai suited to people from mall, retail, hotel or facilities backgrounds. Roles run from senior analyst to regional finance lead.
