Responsibilities

• The position in discussion is with the Managed Services team, part of our Consulting team.
• The KPMG Global Services (KGS) Consulting team is a diverse team of more than 6,400 professionals.
• With capabilities such as Technology Enablement, Corporate Services, Customer and Operations, Cross Functional Services, Risk Services and Managed Services, our team is a varied mix of professionals with extensive skills and expertise.
• Executive – we are seeking a detail-oriented Executive with prior knowledge in Reconciliation to join our Finance & Accounting (F&A) team.
• The candidate will be responsible for reconciling financial transactions, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring the accuracy of financial records.
• Perform daily, weekly and monthly reconciliation of financial transactions, including bank, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounts.
• Investigate discrepancies and variances, ensuring timely resolution and accurate financial reporting.
• Maintain reconciliation reports and documentation in compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve outstanding reconciliation issues.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and suggest automation solutions to enhance efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor actual performance against plan and make decisions to ensure business objectives are achieved.
• Reporting of issues of concern and risk to KGS Leadership, and where appropriate, to the client on a timely basis and pro-actively ensuring problems/issues are identified and solved.
• Deliver high standards of quality
• Audit experience a plus.

Requirements

• Min 1-5 yrs of experience in financial reconciliation, accounting or related roles.
• Strong knowledge of reconciliation tools, accounting principles, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot tables etc).
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data.
• Strong command and ease of business English (spoken and written), native preferred.
• Experience in shared services or outsourcing environments, especially in the Insurance, Banking and Asset Management industry is preferred.
• Strong presentation skills and ability to engage senior stakeholders.
• Familiarity with automation tools such as Power BI, Alteryx or RPA solutions would be great to have.
• Knowledge of IFRS, GAAP and other accounting standards will be an added advantage.
• Preferred background in Financial services industry, with exposure to Banking Operations and Risk Management, under the ambit of global service delivery set-up.
