Roles & responsibilities

• Work with other subject matter experts and stakeholders from the business.
• Draft/update new IFRS and US GAAP accounting technical guidance for both internal firm guidance and external publications.
• Monitor and stay current on IASB and FASB project developments.
• Contribute (along with other team members/senior managers/ US national office team) to researching/writing technical accounting guidance and examples.
• Assist US national office team in preparing illustrative financial statements.
• Assist with the ongoing maintenance/improvement of information structure on internal website that captures firm technical guidance.
• Present on technical accounting matters at US national office team meetings and on external-facing webcasts/podcasts.

Requirements

• Should be proficient in MS Power Point to create effective presentations.
• Excellent project management skills, particularly managing stakeholders’ expectations and proactively communicating issues, solutions and progress.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and effective upward management and cross team communication.
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
• Recent and extensive experience in applying/implementing IFRS accounting standards and US GAAP are required – 6 to 8 years of post-qualification experience in Big 4 national office or similar function (e.
• Experience in conducting external audits in accordance with ISAs/US GAAS would be beneficial.
