- Reviewing quarterly and annual REIT Testing compliance.
- Performing, documenting, and summarizing research and conclusions regarding specific tax issues.
- Develop, motivate, and train staff level and intern team members.
- Interact directly with clients and onshore teams handling questions, planning, concerns, etc.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in business taxation working for a Big 4 or a large national, regional or local accounting firm in the real estate industry.
- Must be eligible to sit for the CPA exam, EA or a licensed JD.
- Ability to work closely with clients and onshore teams to answer questions or to collect necessary information for tax service requirements.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with a national or large regional accounting firm.
- Working knowledge of tax code and technical aspects of tax preparation and compliance.
- Strong technical skills in accounting and tax preparation within the real estate industry; review experience a plus.
- Experience in dealing with international tax matters a plus.
- Experience in dealing with real estate debt matters a plus.
- Experience preparing and reviewing returns
