Responsibilities
- Ensure team operates effectively and within SS&C guidelines and standards.
- Responsible for assigned client deliverables.
- Assist SVP in setting departmental policies, procedures and standards.
- Maintain and monitor all policies, procedures and standards.
- Act as technical and knowledge resource to the business unit.
- Participate in review of assigned tax deliverables.
- Monitor staff timesheet and weekly workload.
- Set up and attend meetings with accounting group to identify key issues, increase knowledge of fund accounting, and increase efficiencies of the information flow process.
- Build client relationships and demonstrate knowledge of client business.
- Train all staff in relevant tax matters.
- Control and comments on staff performance reviews.
- Manage day to day activities and supervise tax staff.
- Oversee implementation and assignment of new clients.
- Assist SVP with review of offering documents and partnership agreements in conjunction with counsel.
- Assist SVP with value-added services and consultation of high-level tax matters.
- Ensure Internal and External Communications are timely and of High-Quality.
- Perform timely and regular reporting to SVP and other members of senior management.
- Communicate with clients and accounting firms on a regular basis and document any relevant matters.
- Resolve issues and address high level client requests.
- Allocate client deliverable across staff levels
- Document and maintain a file of all tax-related issues, resolutions, positions and methodologies by fund.
