Key responsibilities

• We are seeking a Lead Associate – General Ledger Accounting & Reconciliations to support end-to-end Record-to-Report (R2R) activities, including General Ledger accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close, and financial reporting.
• The ideal candidate will have strong accounting expertise, hands-on SAP experience, and a proven ability to drive process improvements while ensuring compliance with accounting policies and internal controls.
• Perform General Ledger accounting activities, including journal entries, accruals, provisions, prepayments, and reclassifications.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, investigate variances, and ensure timely resolution of reconciling items.
• Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities in accordance with reporting timelines.
• Analyze financial data and perform variance analysis on account balances.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, SOPs, internal controls, and audit requirements.
• Support internal and external audits by providing reconciliations and supporting documentation.
• Identify process improvement and automation opportunities to enhance efficiency and control.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, AP, AR, Treasury, Tax, Fixed Assets, and Business Finance.
• Provide guidance and support to junior team members on accounting and reconciliation matters.

Requirements

• Experience: 4–7 years, preferably in a Shared Services / GBS environment.
• 4–7 years of experience in General Ledger accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
• Experience in a Shared Services, GBS, BPO, or multinational environment is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of General Ledger accounting and accounting principles.
• Hands-on experience with balance sheet reconciliations and account substantiation.
• Proficiency in SAP (SAP FI/CO preferred); SAP S/4HANA exposure is a plus.
• Experience with journal entries, accruals, provisions, account analysis, and financial reporting.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, and data analysis.
• Experience with reconciliation tools such as OneStream, Blackline, Cadency, or Trintech is desirable.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• The successful candidate will have strong SAP-based GL accounting and reconciliation experience, a solid understanding of month-end close processes, and the ability to independently manage complex accounting issues.
• Experience in process improvement, automation initiatives, and global stakeholder engagement will be highly valued.
