Responsibilities

• S/he is responsible for managing the processing of the Journal accounting, Fixed Assets register and preparing timely reconciliations.
• S/he will also be responsible for adhering to the internal control procedures, Sox compliance and adherence to the delegation of authority matrix
• Join the global Xylem team to be a part of innovative technology solutions transforming water usage, conservation, and re-use.
• Reporting directly to the Manager Finance, the Accountant role, this person is part of the extended accounting function for multiple region located in Xylem India’s Vadodara plant.
• Providing these services in an effective and efficient manner will ensure that finance reports are accurate and up to date.
• Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations in support of month-end closing activities for multiple business units, using BlackLine, and ensuring proper documentation is obtained.
• Reconcile sub-ledgers to the general ledger identifying and correcting out of balances, addressing their causes, resolving the possibility of future issues.
• Respond to inquiries regarding general ledger balances.
• Post banking related monthly accrual and interest entries.
• Assist with ad hoc projects and analysis as requested.
• Assist with interim and annual audits.
• Ensure all supporting documentation is in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley guidelines.
• Processing of month end accrual entries.
• Maintain applicable SOX controls
