CA Final November 2026 Question Paper Feedback

The Examination Department of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has invited candidates writing the CA Final November 2026 examination to send their observations on the question papers so that they reach the Institute by 18 November 2026. The announcement, dated 2 November 2026 and titled "Observations of the candidates on the question papers of CA Final Examination - November 2026", allows two modes: an e-mail to examfeedback@icai.in, or a letter sent by Speed Post to the Additional Secretary (Exams), The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, ICAI Bhawan, Indraprastha Marg, New Delhi 110 002.

The notice carries one condition that decides whether a submission is read at all. ICAI will take into consideration only those observations that state the candidate's name, registration number, roll number, e-mail ID and mobile number. A mail that simply complains about a lengthy paper, without these five particulars, will not count.

CA Final November 2026 papers covered by the feedback window

The window opened while the examination was still in progress. Group I papers were written on 2, 4 and 6 November, and Group II papers are scheduled for 9, 11 and 13 November 2026. The paper-wise timetable, as published for this attempt, is set out below.

PaperSubjectGroupDateTime (IST)
Paper 1Financial ReportingI2 November 20262 PM to 5 PM
Paper 2Advanced Financial ManagementI4 November 20262 PM to 5 PM
Paper 3Advanced Auditing and Professional EthicsI6 November 20262 PM to 5 PM
Paper 4Direct Tax Laws and International TaxationII9 November 20262 PM to 5 PM
Paper 5Indirect Tax LawsII11 November 20262 PM to 5 PM
Paper 6Integrated Business SolutionsII13 November 20262 PM to 6 PM

Each paper carries 15 minutes of reading time from 1:45 PM, and Paper 6, the case-study based Integrated Business Solutions paper, runs for four hours. The single deadline of 18 November applies to all six papers, so the time available differs sharply by paper. A Group I candidate who wants to flag an issue in Financial Reporting has had the window open since the day after that paper. A candidate who finds a problem in Paper 6 has only five days between the end of the examination on 13 November and the cut-off.

Email or Speed Post: which route meets the 18 November deadline

The notice says observations must "reach" the Examination Department by 18 November 2026. That wording matters for the postal route. A Speed Post letter counts on the date ICAI receives it, not the date it is booked, so a letter dispatched from outside Delhi in the last two or three days carries a real risk of arriving late. For most candidates, e-mail is the safer route because it is time-stamped on sending and leaves a record in the sent folder.

Candidates who appeared in both groups and have observations on more than one paper can keep each submission easier to read by separating the points paper by paper, with the paper number and subject at the top of each block. The five identifying particulars should appear in every e-mail or letter, not just the first one.

How to write an observation the Examination Department can act on

The Institute does not prescribe a format, but an observation is useful only if the person reading it can locate the problem in the question paper within seconds. A workable structure is the paper number and name, the question number and sub-part, a one-line statement of the problem, and the assumption the candidate made while answering. Typical issues worth reporting are figures that contradict each other within the same question, missing data without which the question cannot be solved, a question that can reasonably be read in two ways, and a misprint that changes the answer.

In the two tax papers, an observation that a question appears to apply a provision differently from the law applicable to the November 2026 attempt is far more persuasive when it names the section, rule or notification involved. The same discipline applies to Financial Reporting and Advanced Auditing, where citing the specific Ind AS or Standard on Auditing helps. In Paper 6, where answers depend heavily on the facts of the case study, the observation should quote the relevant line of the case rather than paraphrase it.

Two things are worth avoiding. Observations about the difficulty or length of a paper, without pointing to an error, give the department nothing specific to examine. And the same observation sent repeatedly from one candidate, or circulated as an identical template by many candidates, does not add weight to the point.

What the ICAI notice does not promise

The announcement is limited to inviting observations. It does not say that the Institute will acknowledge submissions, publish any response, award marks for a disputed question or change the evaluation scheme. Candidates should treat the exercise as a channel for bringing errors to the notice of the Examination Department, with the outcome left to the Institute. ICAI has not yet announced the date for the CA Final November 2026 result.

Other ICAI examination dates in the coming weeks

The same set of announcements covers the other levels. The Institute has said that the CA Foundation September 2026 result is likely to be declared by the evening of 6 November 2026. For the next cycle, ICAI has published the schedule of the Intermediate and Foundation examinations for January 2027, and members preparing for the Information Systems Audit Assessment Test can check the separate ISA AT November 2026 schedule. All these notices are also listed on the ICAI announcements page.

For CA Final candidates, the dates to keep in view are 9, 11 and 13 November for the remaining Group II papers and 18 November 2026 as the last day for observations on any of the six papers to reach the Institute.
