ICAI Schedules Online ISA Eligibility Test for 22 August 2026

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) scheduled an online Eligibility Test (ET) for its Post Qualification Course on Information Systems Audit (ISA) on Saturday, 22 August 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm. The notice was posted on the ICAI notifications page on 16 July 2026 under the title "Notification for Online Eligibility Test (ET) for Post Qualification Course on Information Systems Audit on Saturday, 22nd August, 2026 (10:00 AM to 12:30 PM)". Who could appear

The test was open to ICAI members who had completed the Professional Training component of the ISA course and met all the eligibility requirements for the ET by 14 July 2026. Members who completed the training after that date have to wait for the next ET.

The August test was based only on the ISA 3.0 syllabus. The last attempt under the old ISA 2.0 syllabus has expired, so members who had earlier registered under ISA 2.0 must take the test on the ISA 3.0 syllabus.

Registration and fee

Registration ran through ICAI's Digital Learning Hub (DLH), using the member's SSP portal login. Face registration was mandatory and was open from 11:00 am on 15 July 2026 to 5:00 pm on 10 August 2026. Approval of face registration takes 24 to 48 hours, so a member who registered on the last day had little margin before the mock test.

A member's first attempt at the ET carries no fee. Each subsequent attempt costs Rs 500.

Mock test and system requirements

A mock test was scheduled for 19 August 2026 between 10:00 am and 1:30 pm, with a 50-minute duration, for candidates who had completed face registration. The mock test lets candidates check their equipment and the test console before the real paper.

Candidates need an active ICAI membership number and a desktop or laptop with a working webcam and a stable internet connection. Mobile phones are not allowed.

2026 ISA test calendar

The August sitting was the second ISA ET listed by ICAI in 2026. An earlier online ET was held on Saturday, 9 May 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm; that notice was posted on 9 April 2026. Candidates searching ICAI's site should check that the notice they rely on names the correct date, because the two sittings share the same time slot.

ICAI's notifications page also carries online Assessment Tests for its certificate courses, which are different tests with their own timings. In the same period it listed the Certificate Course on Investment Banking test on 8 August 2026 and the Certificate Course on Non-Banking Financial Companies test on 9 August 2026 (both 10:00 am to 12:00 noon), and the Certificate Course on Forensic Accounting and Fraud Detection test on 5 September 2026. A candidate for the ISA test should confirm that the notice refers to the "Online Eligibility Test (ET)" for the "Post Qualification Course on Information Systems Audit".

DISA 4.0 notice

On 11 August 2026 ICAI posted "Important Information regarding the Upgradation of DISA 3.0 to DISA 4.0". That notice is a separate update on the next version of the course. Members planning a future ET attempt should read it directly on the ICAI notifications page before registering for a later sitting, since the August 2026 test itself was held on the ISA 3.0 syllabus.
