ICMAI Releases December 2026 CMA Exam Timetable
The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) has issued the examination time table and programme for the December 2026 term of the CMA course. Two separate documents were posted on the ICMAI student Updates and Announcements page: one for the Intermediate and Final examinations and one for the Foundation examination. All three levels will be examined between 10 and 17 December 2026, in offline mode.
This report sets out the dates, session timings, application deadlines and result dates for each level, so that candidates, articled trainees and employers can plan leave and revision around the correct papers.
Foundation: one day, two sessions
The Foundation examination will be held on a single day, Sunday, 13 December 2026, in two sessions:
- Papers 1 and 2: 10:00 am to 12:00 noon
- Papers 3 and 4: 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm
The last date to submit the Foundation examination application without late fee is 14 October 2026. Applications with late fee will be accepted up to 21 October 2026. Foundation results are scheduled for release by 7 January 2027.
Intermediate: 10 to 17 December, afternoon session
All Intermediate papers are scheduled from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Group I papers fall on 10, 12, 14 and 16 December, and Group II papers on 11, 13, 15 and 17 December, so a candidate taking both groups sits for eight consecutive days.

The Intermediate examination fee is Rs 1,500 for one group and Rs 2,800 for both groups.
Final: 10 to 17 December, morning session
Final papers run from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on the same eight dates.

Application deadlines for Intermediate and Final
Intermediate and Final candidates must submit the examination application by 10 October 2026 without late fee. From 11 to 17 October 2026 the application can still be filed with an additional late fee of Rs 500. Results for both levels are scheduled for release by 5 February 2027.

What candidates should do now
- Check that your level and group match the dates you have blocked. Intermediate and Final papers share the same eight dates but run in different sessions.
- File the examination form before the no-late-fee date. Foundation candidates have until 14 October; Intermediate and Final candidates have until 10 October.
- Download both time table PDFs from the ICMAI announcements page and keep them with your admit card papers. ICMAI's official documents prevail over any summary, including this one.
- Working candidates should apply for leave early. With papers on eight consecutive days, those taking both groups at Intermediate or Final will be away for a full week and a day.
