Global finance and accounting operations centres, several of them in Mahindra World City and the Sitapura industrial area, hire B.Com graduates as process associates in payables, receivables and general ledger teams. The city also has a large base of CA firms, traders and family-run businesses that recruit accounts executives and audit assistants, giving graduates a second, more locally focused route into accounting work.
The two paths call for slightly different preparation. Operations centre roles focus on process accuracy, spoken English and shift work for overseas clients, so practise a short self-introduction and basic accounting questions in English. Roles with local businesses and CA firms lean on Tally or similar software, GST returns, TDS, bank reconciliation and stock records. Both build useful experience: a global process adds ERP exposure, while a firm role gives broader statutory knowledge. Graduates aiming for CA, CMA or CS can often balance study with either route.
