ICSI Opens Free Answer-Book Copy Facility for June 2026 CS Exams From August 26
The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has opened its Examination Answer Book Portal for students of the June 2026 CS Executive and Professional examinations, allowing them to obtain copies of their evaluated answer books free of cost and without filing an RTI application. According to the ICSI Directorate of Examinations announcement on supply of copy of answer books for the CS Examination June 2026 session, the portal became operational for students from 26 August 2026.

Who can apply and how
Any student who appeared in the June 2026 CS examination can apply for a copy of the evaluated answer book of any subject. ICSI treats an evaluated answer book as the personal information of the student, so it is supplied only to the student concerned and not to anyone else.
- Apply on the ICSI Examination Answer Book Portal at cc.icsi.edu using the tab for applying for answer books.
- After the application, a user ID and password are sent to the student's registered email address.
- Use those credentials on the separate view-answer-book tab of the same portal to see the scanned copies.
ICSI has asked students to apply on this portal only and not through the RTI website, since the answer books are available free of cost through the dedicated system. Students who face difficulty in accessing their answer books should contact the Institute within the record retention period.
Verification of marks, certified copies and inspection
If a student has also applied for Verification of Marks, Certified Copies or Inspection of Answer Books, that application is dealt with under the respective guidelines, and the answer books are made available after the prescribed procedure is complete.
A student who finds an error or inconsistency in valuation after seeing the answer book must use the Verification of Marks route under Regulation 42(2) of the Company Secretaries Regulations, 1982. The application has to be made within 60 days from the date of declaration of result or 15 days from accessing the answer book, whichever is earlier. The 15-day clock starts from the date of access, so a student who opens the answer book late in the window can still be bound by the 60-day outer limit.
Restrictions on use
Copies supplied on the portal are for the student's exclusive self-inspection, personal reference and guidance, and may be used only for bona fide educational purposes. ICSI strictly prohibits sharing an answer book or any part of it with another person or in the public domain or on social media, and prohibits public comments on the valuation of answer books.
Same facility for CSEET
The same portal handles CSEET answer books. For the June 2026 CSEET session, the ICSI notice on supply of copy of CSEET answer books made the portal operational from 16 July 2026, with copies ordinarily available for 45 days from declaration of result, till 29 August 2026. That CSEET window has closed.
What students should do now
With the CS Executive and Professional window closing on 9 October 2026, students who have not yet downloaded their June 2026 answer books should apply on cc.icsi.edu without waiting for the last few days. Anyone planning a Verification of Marks request should check the answer book early and file within 15 days of access, keeping the 60-day limit from the result date in view.
