ICSI Adds 7 New CS Exam Centres From December 2026; Begusarai, Ayodhya, Haridwar and Others Included
The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has opened seven new examination centres for the Company Secretaries examinations from the December 2026 session onwards. The ICSI notice on opening of new examination centres, dated 3 September 2026, was issued by the Director, Directorate of Examinations. It adds centres in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh.

The centre code is what a candidate selects in the enrolment form, so it helps to note the code for the chosen city before starting.
What the notice allows
According to ICSI, candidates enrolling for the Company Secretaries examinations from December 2026 onwards can "opt for new Examination Centres in addition to the existing Examination Centres while enrolling." The new centres are in addition to the existing network; no existing centre is closed by this notice.
ICSI has opened these centres on an ad hoc basis. The notice does not set a minimum number of candidates for a centre to function and does not say anything about changing a centre after enrolment. Candidates should therefore check that the city and code appear in the enrolment system for their session and later confirm the venue address on the admit card.
Who benefits
The change matters most to Executive Programme and Professional Programme candidates who live in or near these seven cities. Before this notice, candidates in these cities had to choose a centre in another city. A nearby centre cuts travel and stay costs during the examination days, which run from 21 to 28 December.
December 2026 examination dates
The ICSI time table for the December 2026 CS examinations schedules both the Executive Programme and the Professional Programme papers from 21 December to 28 December 2026. Papers run from 2:00 pm to 5:15 pm. ICSI allows 15 minutes of extra time, from 2:00 pm to 2:15 pm, for reading the question paper.
What candidates should do
- Note the centre code of the new city from the table above before opening the enrolment form.
- Select the new centre while enrolling for December 2026, since the notice provides for the choice at the time of enrolment.
- Keep a copy of the submitted enrolment form and check the centre shown on the admit card when it is issued.
What the notice does not change
The centre notice only widens the list of cities. It does not change the December 2026 timetable, the enrolment deadlines, the eligibility conditions or the paper pattern. Those remain governed by ICSI's separate examination notices, and candidates should follow the dates shown on the ICSI examination portal for their enrolment.
