ICSI Releases June 2026 Executive Programme Guideline Answers for Syllabus 2022
The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has published the Guideline Answers for the June 2026 Executive Programme examination under Syllabus 2022. There are two documents, one for each group: ICSI Guideline Answers, Executive Programme Group 1, June 2026 and ICSI Guideline Answers, Executive Programme Group 2, June 2026. Each reproduces the question papers of the session with the answers ICSI suggests for academic guidance.

What the June 2026 papers tested
The Group 1 document shows Paper 1 questions on territorial jurisdiction under the Code of Civil Procedure, fundamental rights under Articles 19 and 21, res judicata, the Information Technology Act and wagering agreements under contract law. Paper 2 covered change of name needing Registrar approval, dormant company status, the definition of a listed company, declaration of dividend out of reserves, authentication of the register of members and appointment of debenture trustees.
In Group 2, Paper 5 asked about registration of depository participants, investment adviser regulations, types of bonds, risk management at stock exchanges, listing of SPACs and delisting. Paper 6 ranged over real estate regulation, consumer protection, money laundering, foreign investment policy, customs procedure, competition law, copyright and trade marks.
Which version of the law applies
The Group 2 document restates ICSI's cut-off rule for amendments: for the December session, amendments up to 31 May of that calendar year apply; for the June session, amendments up to 30 November of the previous calendar year apply. The June 2026 answers therefore reflect the law as it stood on 30 November 2025. A student taking the December 2026 session is examined on amendments up to 31 May 2026, so any answer touching a provision changed between those dates needs to be read against the current law.
ICSI also states that the Guideline Answers "contain information based on the Laws/Rules applicable at the time of preparation and should be treated as indicative rather than exhaustive," and that the Institute is not responsible for any loss arising from action taken on the basis of the document.
How students can use them
The documents are most useful for practice under time pressure. Attempt a full paper in 3 hours, then compare your answers with ICSI's on three points: whether you cited the correct section or rule, whether you applied it to the facts given, and whether you reached a clear conclusion. For a multi-part question, check how ICSI splits the marks across parts. The answers are not study material and do not guarantee marks for any one writing style.
Updated on 28 September 2026: added the Group 2 document link, the full list of papers covered, examples of topics tested in the June 2026 papers, and ICSI's cut-off rule for amendments.
